Dr. David Shearer
Dr. David Shearer is certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and member and past president of the Cincinnati Dermatologic Society. He is also a member of the Northern Kentucky Medical Association, as well as the Kentucky Medical Association, and the Kentucky Dermatologic Society.
He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky and his graduate studies at the University of Kentucky’s College of Medicine. He did his internship at the University of Cincinnati and residency at Health Universities of Georgia. Dr. Shearer is a volunteer physician at the Cincinnati VA Hospital.
He and his wife are long time residents of Union, Kentucky and member of Saint Timothy Parish as well as the Shinkle Society, which helps support the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky.
Dr. Clay Shearer
Dr. Clay Shearer is certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Cincinnati Dermatologic Society, Kentucky Dermatologic Society, Northern Kentucky Medical Society, and the Kentucky Medical Association. He is on the medical staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital and is a volunteer physician at the Cincinnati VA hospital. He has been voted by his peers as a Cincinnati Magazine top doctor for 2009 through 2015.
He graduated from Transylvania University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and then completed his medical degree at the University of Louisville and then completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Texas/MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
He resides in Northern Kentucky with his wife, Dr. Shelley Shearer, and their three children. He is a member of St. Timothy Parish as well as the Shinkle Society, which helps support the Childrens Home of Northern Kentucky.
Lindsay House - Board Certified Dermatology Nurse Practitioner
Lindsay is a lifetime resident of Northern KY, raised in Fort Mitchell. In 2001 she graduated with her Nursing Degree and worked for seven years at St. Luke Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit. Lindsay taught college courses while pursuing her Master’s Degree. Upon completion in 2010, she joined The Dermatology Center. She was trained in dermatology by Dr. David Shearer and Dr. Clay Shearer. Since 2013, Lindsay is one of the few APRN’s in Northern Kentucky with the distinction of Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioners. She is credentialed with the Kentucky Board of Nursing, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Dermatology Nursing Association.
Lindsay and her husband reside in Edgewood, KY where she spends time raising her children and supporting various community and church programs.
Andrea Hilgeford - Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
Andrea Hilgeford was born and raised in Northern KY. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of Kentucky in 2010. She then worked in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit and for the Department of Trauma at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for the next 6 years. She completed her Master’s degree in Nursing at the University of Cincinnati in 2016 and started her first year as an APRN in Primary Care. Since then, she has been trained by Dr. David Shearer and Dr. Clay Shearer in dermatology. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as well as the Kentucky Board of Nursing. She is currently working on her certification in Dermatology.Andrea and her husband reside in Villa Hills, KY and she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, friends, and rescue dog Trapper.
